Recovery is a journey

Recovery

Chrysalis Center believes recovery is a journey and provides support in all programs for recovery focusing on an individual’s need. Whether they have a mental illness, history of substance abuse, or both, Chrysalis Center helps individuals successfully manage their diagnoses so they can lead independent and self-sufficient lives.

Recovery and Empowerment Center (REC)

The Recovery and Empowerment Center (REC), located on the main campus in Hartford, is a social rehabilitation program tailored to meet the needs of individuals experiencing mental illness by providing social support, peer engagement, advocacy, skill building and health and wellness activities. There is a computer lab available to all members, as well as social outings, an onsite fitness center and access to low-cost, healthy meals at La Cocina. The REC is a lifeline for many of our members.
