The Recovery and Empowerment Center (REC) is a social rehabilitation program tailored to meet the needs of individuals experiencing mental illness by providing social support, peer engagement, advocacy, skill building and health and wellness activity. Individuals are welcomed to become a member of the REC located at our 255 Homestead Ave campus. The REC activity is driven by its members and provides a safe place to enjoy a wide array of recovery and health and wellness activity that includes, use of an in-house fitness center, nutrition classes, skill building classes, vocational training and employment assistance, advocacy and legislative initiatives, use of computer lab as well as social outings and recreational activity. Individuals are also welcome to receive low cost healthy food at LaCocina, our in-house industrial kitchen. The REC is a lifeline for many of our members.
