Stories – Annual Aids Day

Annual AIDS Awareness Day held at the Capitol

AIDS Connecticut (ACT) , sponsored their Annual AIDS Awareness Rally at the State Capitol today.

Chrysalis Center runs a Community Health and Housing Services (CHHS) program, which provides care and support to those individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.

AIDS housing funding received reductions with a significant cut for State Fiscal Year 2018 and 2019. The actual amount slated to be cut is: $526,930 in 2018 and $526,930 in 2019, which is approximately a 13% cut in funding. This means people will lose their housing, which is essential to their health!

Please join us in asking legislators to STOP THE CUTS!!!
