Farmers travel from all over Connecticut to bring fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers, as well as homemade goodies, to our Farmers’ Market. Chrysalis Center’s training kitchen, La Cocina, offers baked goods and ready-made dinners to go.
The Market operates seasonally, providing access to fresh local foods to families in our impoverished neighborhood. It also draws commuters leaving Hartford via Homestead Avenue.
The Market is open Wednesdays from 3 - 6 p.m. in the upper parking lot of our 255 Homestead Avenue campus in Hartford. Visitors may use their SNAP (food stamp), electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits to buy items at the Market.
Dates for the 2014 season are Wednesdays from June 25th through October 8th. For more information, contact jmitchell@ChrysalisCenterCT.org or 860-263-4698..
